EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND

 

 

Every year, there are natural disasters that destroy homes throughout the United States whether by hurricane, tornado, or fire.  Salmon Companies employees have been affected in the past and may unfortunately be affected in the future.  The Company wants to help employees who experience significant property loss and financial hardship as a result of these types of personal natural disasters.

 

Salmon Companies created an Employee Relief Fund for this purpose.  The Fund is managed by an unrelated third party Foundation with 501(C)(3) status.  Employees and others outside the Company can make tax deductible contributions to help as well.  Plus, the Company has a matching program for employee contributions.

 

The Fund is available for full-time Salmon Companies employees whose residence and/or personal vehicle is destroyed or rendered unlivable/in need of costly repairs in excess of insurance proceeds caused by a natural disaster (including fire).  The money is provided as charity to assist qualifying employees and therefore is not a loan requiring repayment.  The Foundation will evaluate all applications under the Fund criteria.
